Budget Mobile Bodyshop is a well established, family run business based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. For years we’ve been keeping commercial fleets on the road across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, carrying out expert repairs to vans, HGVs and specialist vehicles both at our bodyshop and on site at our customers’ premises.

Bodyshop Technician
Location: Mansfield NG18 5ES
Salary: £44,200 basic, negotiable depending on experience, with £65,000 OTE including unlimited bonuses
Job type: Full time, permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Bodyshop Technician to join our busy bodyshop and mobile repair units. You’ll be working on a real variety of vehicles, from cars and vans through to HGVs, motorhomes and buses, both at our Mansfield site and on location across Mansfield, Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Leicester, Coventry and Lincoln.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes genuine pride in their work. We’re after someone with a positive, right first time attitude and a great team player mentality, because that’s how we work here.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out panel repairs and replacements across a range of commercial and passenger vehicles
- Removing and refitting components as part of the repair process
- Assessing accident damage and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition
- Quality control, ensuring all bodywork repairs meet company and industry standards
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe, and following health and safety procedures at all times
- Recording your time accurately and working efficiently to keep lost time to a minimum
What we’re looking for:
Ideally you’ll have served a recognised apprenticeship and hold a technical qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA or City and Guilds in Paint, Body, MET or Maintenance and Repair. That said, qualifications aren’t essential if you’re time served.
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Alternate Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm
- 42.5 hours per week

Paint Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Paint Technician to join our busy bodyshop and mobile repair units. You’ll be spray painting a real variety of vehicles, from cars and vans through to HGVs, motorhomes and buses, both at our Mansfield site and on location across Mansfield, Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Leicester, Coventry and Lincoln.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes genuine pride in their finish. You’ll need a methodical, logical approach to your work, confidence with modern technology and high standards in quality and finish
What you’ll be doing:
- Spray painting cars, vans, HGVs, motorhomes and buses to a high standard
- Filler work, applying and smoothing panels to restore each vehicle’s shape and integrity
- Preparing bodywork across a range of materials including fibreglass, carbon fibre, aluminium, steel and plastics
- Quality control, ensuring all repairs meet company and industry standards
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe, and following health and safety procedures at all times
- Recording your time accurately and working efficiently to keep lost time to a minimum
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Paint Technician with hands-on expertise
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high quality work
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Good problem solving skills and the ability to assess situations quickly and accurately
- Your own tools and equipment
- A full UK driving licence with minimal points
- The physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods and work in various positions

On the skills side, you’ll be proficient in various painting techniques and methods, including spray painting, and familiar with different types of paint and finishing products. You’ll have proven experience in bodywork preparation across fibreglass, carbon fibre, aluminium, steel and plastics, along with expertise in edge to edge filler work, achieving flawless, precise finishes every time.
